Doctor Jones has been senior pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Rock Hill, South Carolina since July 2003. He received his Bachelor degree in Art from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. He received his Master of Divinity from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburg, Indiana. Later he completed his Doctorate of Theology degree from Trinity Theological Seminary as well. Dr. Jones has pastored churches in Indiana, Tennessee, and Mississippi and now in South Carolina.
Dr. Jones has been married to Cindy (Lovell) Jones for 24 years. They have three daughters: Amy Renee Kemper of Houston Texas, Audrey Susan Gordon of Hamilton, MS, and Amanda Anne Jones of Rock Hill, SC. Cindy is employed with Carolina Urgent and Family Pracice in Lancaster, SC as a Medical Insurance Specialist. Cindy also serves as Trinity’s Children’s Pastor.
Pastor and Mrs. Jones enjoy family time, and participating in the life activities of the Trinity Church family. Pastor Jones (Dr. Phil) is an artist and enjoys painting with water colors, acrylics, and oils. The Jones’ have four granddaughters and one grandson.
Sean Virden has served as youth pastor at Trinity Church of the Nazarene since August 2008. He studied religion and youth ministry at TreveccaNazareneUniversity in Nashville, TN and is currently attending the Carolinas School of Ministry. Sean had served in the children’s department at BrentwoodChurch of the Nazarene in Nashville, TN before moving to South Carolina.
Sean’s family resides in Mobile, AL, where his father serves as senior pastor at SaralandChurch of the Nazarene. Sean has been married to Laura (Barnes) Virden since May 2006. Laura also attended TreveccaNazareneUniversity, graduating in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Laura’s family resides in Rock Hill, SC, where her father has been blessed with a music evangelism ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.
Sean enjoys spending time with family and playing video games. He loves participating in the activities of the church and ministering to the youth group and their families.
Cindy is from Iowa originally and attended Olivet Nazarene University and Mid-America Nazarene University. She has served as Children's director for more than twenty years and loves every minute of it.
She love to sing, and she works as an insurance biller in a medical office.
David Dease has spent his whole life at Trinity Church of the Nazarene. He has served in several different roles at the Church. He was the music director for 25 years, he spent time as the youth director, as well as a church board member. His current responsibilities are to provide leadership to the Sunday School and discipleship ministry. He enjoys experiencing how God blesses our efforts whether its music, encouragment to someone or general church service.
His most rewarding time in ministry is having young adults come back and express gratitude for guidance during teen years. The most influential person in his life was Rev. Vivian Pressley, she was a wonderful Godly influence.
